Education
Tom started playing the drums at the age of 8, most of his childhood was filled with playing in school orchestras, youth bands (Gosport and Fareham Brass Band), HMS Collingwood Volunteer band and practicing for his drum grades - he achieved a Distinction in Grade 8 Rockschool at the age of 14. For his year 10 work experience he taught drums in another school for two weeks, this encouraged him to teach privately in his spare time. After secondary school he went on to study Music BTEC at Southdowns College in Havant. He played festivals like Victorious Festival with the many bands he was involved in at the time. He then furthered his studies at LIPA (The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts). Tom’s time at LIPA was filled with constant rehearsal and gigging. He was selected from his year to record at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in Studio 2.
